Every year the Australian Dragon Boat Championships, known as AusChamps, provides Dragons Abreast Brisbane with the chance to compete at the highest national level.

Hello, Penrith

The location of the sports regatta is moved every year. Which means variations in racing conditions.

In 2020 AusChamps will be held at the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) in Penrith, New South Wales.

This venue was purpose-built for the 2000 Sydney Olympic games. Read more about it here.

Race Dates

The entire regatta is scheduled to run from Wednesday 8 April through to Monday 13 April 2020.

As a national dragon boat racing event, AusChamps includes competitive events such as State by State and junior racing.

The breast cancer racing category will be held on Sunday, April 12 and Monday, April 13.

The opening ceremony will take place on Wednesday 8 April 2020.
